To get to the Constants already defined at your platform, go from General Configuration to Constants:
From the Constants view, click on the Add Constant button situated at the top right corner:
The editor for the new constants will show up. Fill in the required information:
name - (required) the name of the constant should be one string. Good practice is to connect words by using the underscore ''. (ex: ATA36_LOW_BLEED_TEMP)
description - optional, but very useful to describe the constants existence. The limit is 1000 characters.
value - (required) the value of the constant. It could be either numeric value, string of characters or the distribution list (ex. 140)
airline - (optional/required - depending on the constant). If no airline is chosen, the default value applies to all the airlines using the platform.
Note: 'airline' needs to be set for specific airline if constant contains mailing distribution list to specific client.
plugin - disregard/leave empty. This is to be filled in by ADMIN.
componentXid - disregard/leave empty. This is to be filled in by ADMIN.
The constant could be now saved by clicking on Save button.
In order to edit constant, go from General Configuration to Constants and choose the constant to edit. Use the search box to find it (ex. MAIL_DL_):
Click on constant name to enter to its editor:
All the fields could be modified.
Let's edit the value of the constant, and remove 1 email address from the distribution list. The new values would be:
Do not forget to Save your changes.
Although deleting constant is possible, be completely sure that you want to do that.
In order to proceed with the deletion, click on the Delete Constant button situated on the top right side of the window:
There is no double confirmation on that action. Once you clicked on the Delete Constant button, the constant is gone.
Note: Pay attention to the name of your constant. The name of the constant is the reference that is used on the IFTs and Dashboard rules (check - ). Thus if you change it, you should modify the and .
