Constants

From the constant values of parameters to the mail list of distribution

To get to the Constants already defined at your platform, go from General Configuration to Constants:

Constants

Note: Constants could be used in the IFTs and Dashboards

Note: Constants can be modified.

Add constant

From the Constants view, click on the Add Constant button situated at the top right corner:

The editor for the new constants will show up. Fill in the required information:

  • name - (required) the name of the constant should be one string. Good practice is to connect words by using the underscore ''. (ex: ATA36_LOW_BLEED_TEMP)

  • description - optional, but very useful to describe the constants existence. The limit is 1000 characters.

  • value - (required) the value of the constant. It could be either numeric value, string of characters or the distribution list (ex. 140)

In order to create mailing distribution list, the constant value shall be written as follows ['email1', 'email2']:

  • airline - (optional/required - depending on the constant). If no airline is chosen, the default value applies to all the airlines using the platform.

  • plugin - disregard/leave empty. This is to be filled in by ADMIN.

  • componentXid - disregard/leave empty. This is to be filled in by ADMIN.

The constant could be now saved by clicking on Save button.

Edit Constant

In order to edit constant, go from General Configuration to Constants and choose the constant to edit. Use the search box to find it (ex. MAIL_DL_):

Click on constant name to enter to its editor:

All the fields could be modified.

Let's edit the value of the constant, and remove 1 email address from the distribution list. The new values would be:

Do not forget to Save your changes.

Delete constant

Although deleting constant is possible, be completely sure that you want to do that.

NOTE: Make sure that you've modified all the IFTs and Dashboard Rules that were using that constant before it's deletion.

In order to proceed with the deletion, click on the Delete Constant button situated on the top right side of the window:

There is no double confirmation on that action. Once you clicked on the Delete Constant button, the constant is gone.
