Bookmarks

Bookmark is a menu entry or icon on a computer that is usually created by the user and that serves as a shortcut to a previously viewed location (such as an Internet site) bookmark.

Bookmarks are created by ADMIN and are created based on user request

Bookmarks

In order to enter to the Bookmarks edition, click on the Bookmark button from the General Conf section:

Add Bookmark

In order to Add Bookmark, click on the button Add Bookmark, situated on the top right corner of the display. It will open the Add Bookmark editor:

Fill in the fields:

  • link - (required) the bookmarks link.

NOTE: You can create a link to a sub bookmark page by using this type of address: https://plugins.flightwatching.com/wilco/#/menu?item=2229&item=2227&cols=4. Each item of the query is a bookmark ID and cols is the number of bookmarks per line (1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 12).

  • rank - (required) the place of that bookmark that will be situated at the top right corner of the platform (use numbers or capital letters)

  • small icon - (optional) A small icon to represent the bookmark (example: glyphicon-asterix)

  • photo - (optional) a photo to represent the bookmark

  • text - (optional) short text to represent the bookmark

  • tooltip - (optional) tooltip that describes the bookmark

  • disabled - when this option is checked, the bookmark will not be visible on the platform

  • dashboardRef - (optional) when reference to dashboard is included, the dashboard is visualised in the place of photo. It's visible if that bookmark is set as landingPage.

  • landingPage - when this option is checked, the bookmark will be displayed at landing page.

  • plugin - (required) choose the plugin the bookmark belongs to (ex. fw.demo)

  • componentXid - (required) choose the name of the bookmark (ex. my_bookmark)

Once all the required fields are filled in, click on Save, Save and continue editing or Save and create another button to save the changes.

Now, in order to have that configuration saved in the Version Controlled System, ADMIN shall COMMIT it's changes on the plugin.

Edit Bookmark

In order to edit Bookmark, go from General Configuration to Bookmarks and choose the one to edit. Click on bookmark id to enter to its editor:

Landing Page

Check up the quick explanation of the landing page.

Landing page is Visual Presentation of some of the bookmarks - usually fleet dashboards or sub bookmarks. It is a great way to showcase the platform and it's components at the moment of log-in:

In order to add bookmark to the landing page, check the option landingPage on its editor:

NOTE: The good practice is to keep the photos of Landing Page bookmarks at the same size.

NOTE: The photo could be the .gif.
