When the report is not parsed - meaning there is no layout created in the platform - it's data are not described.
That report is going to be visible on the timeline anyway. Hereafter REP95 (Custom takeoff report) received from the aircraft, not recognised:
Click on the title of the report (here: A330-REP95), to get to it's data:
Click on the button: Describe it, to get to the layout creation:
On top of the page you could choose the name of the report - Cool name of the report - (this is the name that will appear in the timeline). Click on button update to save your setttings:
The content of the layout displays all data from the raw input:
Each of these can be defined with specifics parameters.
Select the first column:
You can even merge several rows together (if they concern same data at different time interval). For example, here rows X1, X2 and X3:
If you merged rows (by clicking merge with next), you need to specify time offset with an i increment:
All the other columns represents the parameters. When you click on any value (in red), you will have the following:
Choose the name of parameter. That parameter name will be used in dashboard, trends or IFT:
After clicking on update -the MACH_1 parameter is created and linked to data. Do not forget to click on save IFT button situated on bottom - to save all your changes!
Your layout is created!! From now on, all the future reports will have the MACH_1 parameter described in the report.
NOTE: If you would like to see how the previous reports would look like with the created parameters, it’s required to reparse the report(s) to generate that parameters. In order to do it - go back to the report visualisation:
On top of the display - click on the button TOOLS and then Re-parse it:
Once, the report is re-parsed, the report is named with the name of the layout (TAKE OFF REPORT vs REP-95):
When you select the report - you get the parameter MACH_1:
You can check the time interval with left and right arrow keys.
